Accra: Acting Director of Elections and Information Technology for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahdi Jibril, has expressed confidence that the upcoming constituency elections will proceed without issues. He emphasized that it would "only take Satan to create problems," referencing the smooth execution of the recent branch elections.
According to Ghana Web, in an exclusive interview with Kwadwoa Baffour at the J.J Rawlings House in Accra, Jibril highlighted the discipline and unity demonstrated during the branch elections. These characteristics have bolstered the national leadership's confidence in the peaceful conduct of the upcoming constituency elections.
Jibril cautioned that only deliberate mischief could potentially disrupt the process. He remarked, "The way we have managed our branch elections gives me confidence. It will only take Satan to create problems in the constituency elections."
He further announced that the NDC is poised to commence constituency elections nationwide. Despite noting significant progress in reorganizing the party's structures, Jibril acknowledged that there remains room for improvement. "So far, what we've done is good. There's room to improve, and we'll continue working towards that," he stated.
