Lagos: Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has reignited his long-running feud with fellow musician Stonebwoy, asserting that the BHIM Nation boss cannot 'face him' due to their shared history. This statement was made during a teaser for his episode of 'The Honest Bunch' podcast while visiting Lagos, Nigeria.
According to Ghana Web, Shatta Wale traced the origin of their feud back to the early days of Stonebwoy's career, where he claimed they shared a mentor-mentee relationship. He recounted, "Stonebwoy is my boy. He used to come to the first room I rented. He used to call me daddy." Shatta Wale suggested that their relationship soured after Stonebwoy began receiving acclaim from the media and music industry insiders, which altered the dynamics between them.
Shatta Wale elaborated, "But when he started going into the media and they told him, 'Oh, you have talent, you are even better than Shatta Wale,' things changed." He expressed confidence when asked about a potential encounter with Stonebwoy during the interview, claiming his colleague would be unable to confront him. "He can't watch me; he will fall down. My spirit is too big for him. I'm too confident. I am not fake. The things he says, he doesn't follow. Me, the things I say, I follow them," he stated.
The remarks are the latest in a series of public clashes between the two award-winning dancehall stars, whose rivalry has been one of the most prominent entertainment feuds in Ghana. Shatta Wale concluded, "When we say we are coming to beat you, we are coming to beat you," highlighting the ongoing tension between the two artists.
