A Plus Criticizes Black Stars After World Cup Exit

Accra: Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, widely known as A Plus, has expressed his discontent with the Black Stars’ performance in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, following their premature exit from the tournament.

According to Ghana Web, during a discussion on United Showbiz, A Plus conveyed his lack of surprise at the team’s early departure from the competition. He remarked that the Black Stars have a tendency to disappoint Ghanaians after initially stirring public interest in their games. A Plus accused the team of seemingly relishing in the disappointment of their fans, suggesting that their performances are orchestrated to culminate in a national day of mourning.

He explained that the Black Stars seem to intentionally win initial matches to garner attention, only to lose crucial games, resulting in widespread national disappointment. A Plus shared that he deliberately chose not to watch the team’s matches due to his skepticism about their success prospects. He recounted being in Canada during the first game and in Ghana for the second, yet abstained from viewing both, convinced of the team’s impending failure.
