Shenyang: Arhin William, also known by his Chinese name Wang Weimin, a Ghanaian master's graduate from Shenyang Normal University in Liaoning Province, northeast China, left the audience in awe with his impeccable Chinese speech during the university's graduation ceremony.
According to Ghana Web, Arhin, who majored in Chinese International Education, was a recipient of the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship and served as the International Students' Representative for the 2026 graduating class. Before commencing his address, Arhin captivated the audience by singing a song in Chinese, eliciting loud cheers and applause.
Arhin William pursued a Master of Arts degree in Chinese International Education from 2023 to 2026. During his speech, he emphasized the role of football in uniting people and fostering global connections. His ability to deliver the entire speech in fluent Chinese showcased his linguistic proficiency and dedication to his studies.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of 6,699 students, including 5,212 undergraduate students, 1,470 master's students, and 17 international students. Arhin's previous leadership roles include serving as Vice President of the Chinese Students Association of Ghana (CHISAG) at the University of Ghana, Legon, during the 2019/2020 academic year.
