Accra: The Ellembelle NPP Constituency Chairman, Sampson Ndoli, has announced that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is set to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) back to power in 2028. Ndoli, known as 'Chairman One Man,' expressed confidence in Dr Bawumia's ability to address the country's economic challenges.
According to Ghana Web, Ndoli made these remarks after being cleared by the vetting committee at Nkroful, securing the number two position on the ballot for the upcoming Constituency Executives Elections scheduled for July 11, 2026. He faces competition from Jacob Kwofie of Esiama, Iddrisu Ackah of Kangbumli, and Lord Armah of Nzema Aiyinasi.
During his campaign launch over the weekend, Ndoli urged delegates to extend his mandate and pledged to unite the party's base. He emphasized the importance of unity in securing the Ellembelle parliamentary seat for the NPP for the first time. He stated that without unity, reclaiming political power from the NDC would be challenging.
Ndoli called on all party members to support Dr Bawumia as the 2028 presidential candidate and adhere to the party's constitution. He expressed optimism about Dr Bawumia's chances of winning and committed to working diligently to ensure his victory. He urged the party to focus on highlighting the weaknesses of the NDC government.
Campaigning with a team of 10 executives, Ndoli is asking delegates to vote for the entire slate alongside him. He acknowledged the support of former NPP National Chairman Freddie Blay, former Constituency Organiser Stephen Donkor, and former Chairman Samuel Akainyah.
Ndoli, who became Ellembelle Chairman in 2018, has been actively campaigning in the constituency, supporting local communities, and seeking prayers for Dr Bawumia ahead of the 2028 elections.
