Kumasi: A prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, widely known as Asanteman COKA, has expressed his confidence in becoming the next Chairman of the NPP in the Ashanti Region following the party polls scheduled for August 2026. The aspiring Regional Chairman is optimistic that party members will elect him to serve in this capacity.
According to Ghana Web, Asanteman COKA shared his conviction during a surprise mini birthday party organized by the COKA family. During the celebration on Sunday, June 28, 2026, he assured attendees of his future success, stating, "I want to assure you that, a year from today, we will meet to celebrate again and I will be the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP with God and the party's help."
The surprise party was organized without his prior knowledge, as Asanteman COKA revealed. He remarked, "I just completed church service and my team asked us to come here for a short meeting, not knowing you had planned this for me? You will cause problems for me because if all my loved ones see this on social media, they may think I organized a party without them, but the truth is I know nothing about this organization."
The event was not only a celebration of Asanteman COKA's birthday but also an expression of gratitude from his supporters. Salomey Asiedu, the Elections and Research Officer for the NPP at Ahafo Ano South West Constituency and one of the organizers, highlighted that the party was planned to show appreciation for Asanteman COKA's contributions. She praised the Vice of COKA for her financial support in organizing the event.
The team expressed their gratitude to Asanteman COKA for his dedication and selfless support to the NPP and humanity as a whole.
