Accra: Media personality Ola Michael has taken a swipe at Prophet Daniel Obinim over recent comments he made concerning a car gifted to his wife. Speaking in a video shared on social media, Ola Michael described Obinim’s remarks as unnecessary and said they reflected pain rather than wisdom.
According to Ghana Web, Ola Michael questioned why Obinim was upset about someone appreciating his wife with a car gift, especially when there was no evidence of any inappropriate relationship between them. He argued that the gesture was simply an act of goodwill, emphasizing that it should not make Obinim angry.
To support his argument, Ola Michael recounted a story shared with him by the late gospel musician Yaw Sarpong. He explained that Yaw Sarpong once received a Toyota Tundra as a gift from a woman who felt that his songs had positively impacted her life. The woman initially gave him GHS60,000 for the vehicle, and when the amount fell short, she provided additional funds to complete the purchase.
Ola Michael further criticized Obinim for questioning the gift, suggesting that people often decide to bless others when they notice the good work they are doing. He also challenged Obinim’s claim of owning multiple cars by questioning why his wife did not have a personal vehicle.
Additionally, Ola Michael accused the preacher of contradicting himself by publicly discussing marital issues after his wife had earlier declined to speak about their relationship during an interview. He expressed concern over Obinim’s public discussion of the matter, suggesting it could embarrass his wife and affect her comfort in church settings.
