Accra: A man who described himself as a former fraudster has shared his experiences and regrets over decisions he made while engaging in criminal activities, including seeking assistance from fetish priests. Speaking on Asempa FM, the man said he reached a stage in his life where he made choices that he now deeply regrets.
According to Ghana Web, those involved in fraudulent schemes often believed that spiritual assistance could help them succeed in deceiving their targets and getting just any amount of money from the victim could be used against the person in order to control them. The man recounted that during his fraudulent days, he made regrettable decisions, including seeking help from fetish priests.
He further claimed that members of the group relied on various practices which they believed enhanced their ability to influence potential victims. The man explained that they sometimes used African wear, performed certain rituals on them, and sent them to clients abroad. They believed that once their clients wore these garments, they could influence their decisions and make them comply with their wishes.
The man also revealed that when prospective victims appeared resistant, they would return to individuals they believed possessed spiritual powers for further assistance. He stated that when clients proved stubborn and reluctant, they took the matter back to the person who was helping them, and whatever was done appeared to work in their favor.
