Cape coast: The Centre of National Culture (CNC) has launched the 10th edition of the Christiana Carl Oparebea Annual Marketable Skills Training Programme to equip young people in the Central Region with practical skills for sustainable livelihoods.
According to Ghana News Agency, established in 2017, the annual programme has become a reliable avenue for youths seeking hands-on training and pathways to economic independence. The 2026 programme is scheduled to run from Monday, July 27 to Friday, August 21. It will offer instruction in various skills including beading, basic sewing, dreadlocks, macram©, facial make-up, photography, drawing, and painting.
The programme also includes training in fascinator making, craft production, decoration and floral arrangement, bags and sandals making, and hair braiding.
