Anloga: Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Anloga District in the Volta Region, has visited flood-affected communities in the Shime area to assess the extent of damage caused by recent floods. The communities visited included Bleamazado, Agorbledokui, and Sakome, which recorded varying degrees of destruction following the recent flooding that swept through several settlements within the Anloga District.
According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Kpedor stated during the tour that the primary aim of her visit was to evaluate the damage caused by the floods, engage with affected residents, and collect first-hand information to guide the Assembly's response efforts. She emphasized the commitment of the Anloga District Assembly to collaborate with relevant agencies and stakeholders in providing the necessary support and interventions to alleviate the challenges faced by the affected residents.
Madam Kpedor also promised that the Assembly would implement measures to prevent future flooding in the affected communities. She highlighted the importance of coordinated action among all stakeholders to effectively address the issue and support the recovery efforts in the flood-hit areas.
