According to Ghana Web, a video shared by WeLoveGhana on X and observed on June 10, 2026, shows the distressed group expressing their challenges. The individuals, including women and children, appealed to the Ghanaian government for assistance in returning home, describing their current situation as dire.
Speaking on behalf of the group, a woman identified as Hajia detailed their plight, stating that they had been sleeping outdoors for nearly two weeks. She made a heartfelt plea to President Mahama for help, emphasizing the presence of children among them and the urgent need for intervention.
The video highlights the harsh conditions faced by the group, who are seen gathered in what appears to be a temporary shelter. This appeal arises amidst escalating concerns about the safety of foreign nationals in South Africa, following reports of increasing xenophobic attacks.
