Accra: The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has unveiled a list of 355 West African immigrants either facing deportation or who have already been deported, including 30 individuals from Ghana. The list, which includes photos, names, and associated crimes of the affected individuals, aims to spotlight those involved in significant criminal activities.
According to Ghana Web, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the list to emphasize its focus on removing individuals deemed as the "worst of the worst" criminal aliens from the United States. The initiative is part of an effort spearheaded by DHS and ICE to implement mass deportations, fulfilling a policy directive set by former President Trump. The deportation list is seen as a demonstration of DHS's commitment to prioritize the removal of illegal aliens involved in serious crimes.
Among those identified is Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Montrage, known by her stage name Haji4Real. Montrage, who has been deported to Ghana, made the list due to her involvement in fraudulent activities. She was arrested in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, highlighting the cross-country reach of the enforcement efforts. The release of this information underscores the U.S.'s continued focus on immigration enforcement and public safety.
