Accra: Access Bank (Ghana) Plc, in collaboration with Deloitte Ghana, has successfully conducted a Women Business Workshop aimed at equipping female entrepreneurs with essential financial knowledge and strategic insights necessary for sustainable business growth.
According to Ghana Web, the workshop brought together a diverse group of women business owners who are clients of the bank. It served as a dynamic platform for expert-led learning, peer exchange, and candid discussions on the challenges of growing a business in today's competitive environment.
Bimpe Gisanrin, Head of Women Banking at Access Bank African Subsidiaries, emphasized the bank's dedication to supporting women-led enterprises beyond traditional banking products. She highlighted the importance of financial literacy and strategic direction in empowering women entrepreneurs to make informed decisions and advance their businesses.
Gisanrin pointed out that while financing is crucial, many women entrepreneurs face barriers due to gaps in financial literacy. The workshop aimed to bridge this divide by providing actionable insights on financial planning, business structuring, and long-term growth strategies. She stressed that the initiative reflects Access Bank's commitment to building capacity and resilience among women in business.
Facilitators from Deloitte conducted in-depth sessions on financial management, risk assessment, and strategic planning. These sessions equipped participants with frameworks to position their businesses for expansion and attract investment with greater confidence.
The workshop also encouraged participants to share their real-world experiences and business challenges, fostering a spirit of collective problem-solving and peer accountability. This initiative is part of Access Bank's broader strategy to promote women entrepreneurship and accelerate the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises across Ghana.
