Accra: Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has appealed to event organisers in towns outside Accra to schedule his performances earlier, stating that performing deep into the early hours affects his energy levels on stage. In a recent Facebook post, Sarkodie explained that while fans outside the capital enjoy partying until morning, his energy peaks until about 1 AM. According to Ghana Web, Sarkodie emphasized that performing around 4 AM is physically exhausting for him. He stated, "To my people in most towns outside Accra, I get that you guys love to party till morning. But as a performer, my energy is at its highest level until about 1 AM max," urging organisers to consider earlier performance slots to ensure audiences experience his best performance. Following his post, a social media user compared Sarkodie to fellow musician Shatta Wale, suggesting that Shatta Wale enjoys performing late into the night. Responding humorously in Twi, Sarkodie remarked, "I really don't know what's wrong with that guy," acknowledging the different preferences among artists regarding performance times.
