Didi Dramani Set for Appointment as Port City Head Coach

Accra: Former Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani is reportedly set to be appointed as the head coach of newly promoted Ghana Premier League outfit Port City FC. This development comes after Dramani's recent departure from Hearts of Oak, where he served as the technical head.

According to Ghana Web, Didi Dramani was relieved of his role as the head coach of the Phobians on Tuesday, May 26. The club announced that the decision was made following a comprehensive technical review conducted by its board. The official statement from Hearts of Oak read: "Hearts of Oak SC wishes to announce that, following a comprehensive technical review of the 2025/26 football season, the Board has decided to part ways with the Technical Team led by Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani."

The club expressed gratitude to Dramani and his backroom staff for their service and professionalism during their tenure. Under Dramani's leadership, Hearts of Oak achieved a third-place finish in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League season, narrowly missing out on the league title and continental qualification spots.

Dramani, who previously coached Asante Kotoko, was appointed by Hearts of Oak on a two-year deal in June 2025 as part of the club's rebuilding strategy. Despite signs of improvement during the campaign, the club's management has decided to pursue a new technical direction for the upcoming season.
