‘I Would’ve Bewitched Nana Aba Instead’ – Esther Smith’s Ex-Husband on Claims of Using Charm

Accra: Rev Ahenkan Bonsu, the former husband of Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith, has made another shocking revelation following their divorce nearly two decades ago. In a recent interview on Radio XYZ, which has been making waves on social media and was sighted by GhanaWeb, Rev Ahenkan debunked claims that he intended to use love charms on the gospel musician.

According to Ghana Web, Rev Ahenkan stated that Esther Smith would not have been his preferred target if he had wanted to charm a woman into falling in love with him. He explained that seasoned broadcast journalist Nana Aba Anamoah would have been his preferred choice at the time. He questioned the logic of choosing Esther Smith for fame and money, suggesting that Nana Aba Anamoah, with her eloquence on TV3, would have been a more suitable target.

Rev Ahenkan further noted that his decision to marry Esther Smith was based on her humility rather than her fame or financial status. He recounted advice from a friend who encouraged him to marry Esther due to her humble nature, which he found admirable.
