Medical Screening Results for Security Services Recruitment to Be Released Next Week

Savannah region: Minister of Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka, has announced that the results from the medical examinations conducted for applicants in the ongoing security services recruitment exercise will be released next week. More than 105,000 applicants progressed to the medical screening stage, far exceeding the government's initial target of recruiting 5,000 personnel into various security agencies.

According to Ghana Web, the announcement was made during President John Dramani Mahama's 'Resetting Ghana' citizens' engagement in the Savannah Region. Muntaka emphasized the government's collaboration with Members of Parliament in the region to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the recruitment process.

The Ministry of Interior has already released the aptitude test results for the security services recruitment. Applicants who successfully pass the medical screening will be given fair consideration as the government aims to increase the intake into the security services.

Muntaka assured the public that the medical screening results would be released next week. He also mentioned that President Mahama, along with the Minister of Finance, intervened to double the intake capacity, allowing more qualified applicants to be recruited.

The decision to expand recruitment follows discussions between President Mahama and the Ministry of Finance, aimed at creating opportunities for more qualified applicants. This recruitment exercise is part of the government's broader efforts to strengthen the country's security services while providing employment opportunities for the youth.
