Connecticut: Yvonne Agyapong, daughter of former Assin Central lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong, has bagged four top awards during a ceremony at Yale University. She was recognized for her exceptional academic and research contributions in Connecticut, USA.
According to Ghana Web, Yvonne Agyapong obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and was awarded the Arthur L. Pulley LLB 53 and Bernice Cossey Pulley DIV 56 Research Award for the Advancement of Peace and Justice in the Americas and Africa. This award, established in 2004, honors students who have significantly contributed to peace and conflict resolution efforts in these regions.
Her latest academic success adds to an already impressive track record. Yvonne previously graduated as valedictorian from Union Catholic High School in New Jersey at the age of 18, excelling in Mathematics, English, and Social Studies. Her dedication to her studies has now earned her a full scholarship to pursue further education anywhere in the world.
In a related note, another daughter of Kennedy Agyapong, Amanda Agyapong, also achieved academic distinction. Amanda completed dual master's degrees-a Master of Business Administration in Neuromarketing and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is one of the few Ghanaians to graduate with two Master of Arts degrees focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, achieving distinction in her studies.
