Accra: A distressing incident occurred during heavy rains in Accra when passengers aboard a Tabora-Kaneshie trotro were left soaked after rainwater leaked through the roof of the vehicle throughout the journey.
According to Ghana Web, a video shared on X captured the scene inside the trotro, which appeared old and poorly maintained, as rainwater poured through the roof. The driver, who seemed overwhelmed, was visibly drenched along with the passengers, who expressed their frustration during the trip.
Despite the vehicle's poor condition and the discomfort caused by the leaking roof, the video showed the trotro parked by the roadside as passengers attempted to find dry spots inside to avoid the drenching rainwater.
One passenger, believed to have recorded the video, expressed frustration by questioning the driver about transporting passengers in such a poorly maintained vehicle. The passenger compared the situation unfavorably to commuting on motorcycles, highlighting the dire condition of the trotro. The driver, however, only smiled and refrained from commenting on the predicament.
