Accra: Parliament has confirmed Mr. Kwame Ohene Frimpong, an Independent Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akim North, has been detained at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, the Clerk to Parliament, was issued to inform the public about the detention. The statement indicated that the Speaker and the leadership of the House were in contact with Ghana's Mission in The Hague to obtain full details regarding the incident.
The statement further mentioned that the Speaker and the leadership of the House are actively seeking detailed information from Ghana's Mission in The Hague. The public will be kept informed as more information becomes available.
