Roads Minister Fetes BECE Candidates in Adaklu District

Adaklu: Mr. Governs Kwame Agbodza, the Minister of Roads and Highways, recently hosted a celebratory event for 565 pupils who completed their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) along with their teachers. The event took place simultaneously at Adaklu Abuadi and Adaklu Waya, the two examination centers in the district.

According to Ghana News Agency, a total of 284 candidates were hosted at Waya, while 281 candidates were at Adaklu Abuadi. These students represented 33 public and three private schools within the district. Mr. Hayford Amenuvie, the Adaklu Constituency Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), conveyed Mr. Agbodza's congratulations to the pupils for successfully completing the examination without any incidents. He expressed hope that the candidates would achieve commendable grades, enabling them to continue their academic journeys.

Mr. Amenuvie, also an Assemblyman for Adaklu Ablornu Electoral Area, communicated Mr. Agbodza's regrets for not attending the ceremony due to official commitments. He emphasized the importance of education as a means to eradicate poverty and encouraged the students to remain diligent in their studies. He urged them to stay focused and not to be complacent, reminding them of the significant challenges ahead.

The Assemblyman also advised the students to avoid anti-social behavior that could jeopardize their future while awaiting results. He underscored the importance of resisting peer pressure and maintaining their ambitions. He further mentioned that Mr. Agbodza had provided breakfast for the students throughout the examination period, highlighting it as an annual tradition.
