Ghana Targets Global Investors at Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026

London: The Ghana High Commission to the United Kingdom and Ireland has announced the Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026, a significant two-day economic forum scheduled at Raffles London from June 1 to 2, 2026. The summit, themed 'Restoring Investor Confidence to Unlock Opportunities and Shared Prosperity,' aims to bring together government officials, global investors, industry leaders, and development finance institutions to enhance economic ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

According to Ghana Web, President John Dramani Mahama will deliver the keynote address at the summit. This event aligns with his administration's 'Reset Agenda,' which emphasizes strengthening transparency, fiscal discipline, and investor confidence in Ghana's economy. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in bilateral meetings, sector-focused roundtables, and direct discussions with senior government officials to explore investment opportunities.

Organizers emphasize Ghana's status as one of West Africa's most stable democracies and a rapidly growing emerging economy. With its young, English-speaking population and strategic location within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Ghana offers access to a regional market of over 400 million people. Additionally, the presence of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat in Accra provides investors entry into a continental market valued at approximately $3.4 trillion.

The summit will highlight opportunities across six high-growth sectors, including Agribusiness, Trade and infrastructure financing, Real estate, Fintech and digital innovation, Energy and green transition, and Critical minerals and carbon markets. The event is organized in partnership with Ghana's Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre. It is supported by the British High Commission in Accra and the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, reflecting strong bilateral cooperation.

Investment platform Invest Africa is also backing the summit. Prior to the main event, President Mahama will meet members of the Ghanaian diaspora at a town hall on May 31, 2026. This session, hosted by Sabah Zita Benson, is expected to provide a platform for discussions on national development priorities and the role of diaspora investment.

The Ghana-UK Investment Summit 2026 is being positioned as a crucial step toward restoring investor confidence and strengthening economic collaboration between Ghana and its international partners.
