According to Ghana Web, eyewitness accounts shared on X on May 3, 2026, indicated that Osei was reportedly driving towards Koforidua at high speed when a Hyundai H400, attempting to overtake a motorcycle, veered into his lane. The eyewitness further explained that, to avoid a head-on collision, Osei swerved off the road, causing his vehicle to crash into a tree.
