Suma-ahenkro: Mr. Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister, has called on the people of the Jaman North District to maintain their confidence in and support for President John Dramani Mahama's administration to 'reset' the nation. He emphasized that the government appreciated the people's loyalty to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), highlighting that their faithfulness to the Party would never go unnoticed as the government facilitated accelerated national development.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Akwaboa made the call while addressing the chiefs and people of Jaman North at a forum at Suma-Ahenkro, where he extended his regional 'Accounting to the People' initiative to the district. He explained that the forum reflected the government's commitment to strengthening transparency, participatory governance, and responsive leadership.
Mr. Akwaboa stated that successive NDC governments prioritize development and would continue to drive investments to Bono, aiming to elevate the region's development. This includes the construction of health facilities, nursing training institutions, road networks, electricity expansion, and the establishment of other tertiary institutions.
He noted that within just a year, substantial development projects had been introduced to the district. He added that these interventions would address key challenges facing the people and transform their lives significantly.
Furthermore, Mr. Akwaboa shared plans to extend electricity to deprived communities in the district soon, aiming to open up those areas for economic growth and development.
