Tema: The Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate has announced that a total of 3,694 candidates are participating in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) within the Tema Metropolis.
According to Ghana News Agency, the candidates comprise 1,775 boys and 1,919 girls from both public and private basic schools in the area. They are sitting for the examination at various designated centers, including Chemu Senior High School, Tema Presbyterian Senior High School, Our Lady of Mercy Senior High School (OLAMS), and Manhean Senior High/Technical School.
Mrs. Bernice Ofori, the Tema Metropolitan Education Director, praised the candidates for their dedication and resilience throughout their academic journey. In her goodwill message, she encouraged them to approach the examination with confidence, assuring them that their hard work would lead to positive outcomes. She emphasized, "Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have brought you to this pivotal moment. Approach these exams with confidence, knowing that your efforts will pave the way to a bright future."
Mrs. Ofori reassured the candidates of the support from the Ghana Education Service and urged them to stay focused, disciplined, and composed during the examination period. She expressed her pride in the candidates and wished them success, motivating them to strive for academic excellence.
