Lay Chairman of Sekondi Diocese Pledges Support for Youth Empowerment

Sekondi: Dr. Justice Amo, the Lay Chairman of the Sekondi Diocese of the Methodist Church of Ghana, emphasized the importance of youth development for the future of any organization, including the church. He committed to supporting youth empowerment and skills development to ensure that the church's youth become meaningful citizens serving the interests of humanity.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Amo made this pledge during the 65th annual synod of the Methodist Church Ghana, Sekondi, held at Aboadze in the Western Region. He stated, "In my three-year tenure as a chairman of the laity, we will prioritize their needs and aspirations, meet their basic needs, walk with them, counsel and nurture them to become better assets to the future of the Church and Ghana as a whole."

Dr. Amo also promised improvements in the health needs of the people during his tenure. Highlighting the importance of the well-being of the laity in serving God and humanity, he announced the establishment of a health insurance scheme.

He urged the laity to dedicate themselves to the teachings of God and lead sacrificial lives as disciples.
