NiPDA Hosts Town Hall Meeting to Review and Strategize Community Development

Ningo-prampram: The Ningo-Prampram District Assembly (NiPDA) has conducted its First Quarter Town Hall Meeting, aimed at evaluating community development efforts and strategizing for future initiatives.

According to Ghana News Agency, the meeting served as a platform for the assembly and its stakeholders to assess the activities completed in the previous quarter and to plan further development initiatives within the district. Mr. Raphael Uriel Nartey, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for NiPDA, stated that the meeting is part of the Assembly's accountability process to the public, providing updates on executed projects, revenue generation, and overall district development during the first quarter.

Mr. Nartey emphasized the importance of revenue mobilization for local development, highlighting that public education efforts are ongoing to enhance compliance despite the challenges in revenue collection. He revealed that the assembly surpassed its budget targets for the first quarter and completed several projects, with plans to extend development efforts across the district. He urged residents to support and participate actively in the assembly's development processes.

Madam Abigail Agbozo, the District Planning Officer, detailed some accomplishments, such as the construction of a three-unit classroom block at New Ningo D/A Basic 'C' and the ongoing construction of a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Someh. She mentioned that the assembly organized a Best Teacher Award Scheme to motivate educators and improve learning outcomes.

Madam Agbozo also noted the initiatives aimed at empowering the youth through apprenticeship programs, skills training, and sensitization on their rights to reduce vulnerability. Additionally, interventions like the installation of streetlights, road safety education, and community clean-up exercises were highlighted. She assured that the CHPS compound would be equipped upon completion to enhance healthcare delivery, and additional projects would be implemented to accelerate district development.
