Atebubu: The Reverend Richard Nyamekye, the Atebubu Area Head of the Church of Pentecost in the Bono East Region, has appealed to Christians to allow the power in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to transform their lives. He advised Christians to use the Easter festivities to deepen their faith with God when addressing hundreds of congregants of the Church at an Easter convention at Atebubu.
According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Nyamekye, who is also the Leader of the Atebubu branch of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), emphasized that the essence of Easter extends beyond mere celebration. He urged Christians to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for humanity, appreciate it, repent from sins, and build their relationship with God.
Rev. Nyamekye highlighted the inconsistency of claiming to be a Christian who believes in the divine sacrifice yet continues to live in sinful practices like fornication and other acts of immorality. He encouraged Christians to renew their dedication to righteousness, uphold, defend, and adhere to sound biblical teachings, allowing the power in the death and resurrection of Christ to shape and transform their lives.
