Accra: Acclaimed Ghanaian singer Belinda Nana Ekuah Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has responded to recent allegations claiming she had a romantic encounter with musician King Promise. It will be recalled that a news card recently circulated on social media alleging that the singer had claimed to have shared an intimate moment with King Promise during a studio session. According to Ghana Web, reacting to the report during an appearance on United Showbiz, Mzbel described the claims as false and an attempt to tarnish her image. She was emphatic in denying any such interaction, stating that the rumours were completely unfounded. Mzbel clarified her position, stating, "The rumours about King Promise and me are not true. They claimed I said King Promise touched my breast in the studio and that I enjoyed it, but that we didn't have sexual intercourse. I have never said anything like that." She further reinforced her statement by explaining that she has never even met King Promise in person, let alone been in a studio with him. Despite the controversy, Mzbel expressed her interest in a potential collaboration with King Promise in the future. "I am hoping that one day, I will record a song with him, but these rumours circulating on social media may even make him decline if I reach out for a feature," she added.
