Kintampo: Four people have perished in another tragic crash involving a Kia Truck and Sprinter Benz Bus on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway.
According to Ghana News Agency, the crash occurred at Dawadawa, a community along the stretch in the Bono East Region. During a visit to the scene, residents reported that the passenger bus with registration number GT 5209-16 collided head-on with the Kia Rhino truck, which had the registration number GE 5377-21.
The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, 2026. Eighteen other individuals sustained injuries of varying severity and are currently in critical condition. They are receiving treatment at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at a local morgue.
A similar crash occurred in the early hours of Good Friday, leaving nine people dead and injuring 27 others. That collision happened around 0300 hours and involved a cargo truck with registration GR-4958-K and a passenger bus with registration GS-2564-20.
