Tamale: The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) united a delegation from the Head Office, Northern Regional, and district offices to participate in the final funeral service (Adua) of the late Alhaji Yakubu Amadu, known in private life as Vorsky. The deceased was the father of Hamdiya Amadu Yakubu, the Acting Deputy Director of NHIA's Corporate Affairs Directorate.
According to Ghana Web, the funeral service took place in Tamale and extended to Bimbila in the Nanumba North Municipality. The NHIA's Administration and Human Resources Deputy Chief Executive, Raphael Segkpeb, visited the deceased's family home in Tamale on the eve of the final Adua to express his condolences.
From the Head Office, Acting Deputy Director Rockson Atakole led the delegation to offer comfort, prayers, and support to the bereaved family, emphasizing the NHIA family's shared compassion. Rockson Atakole conveyed the Executive Management's heartfelt condolences to the family.
The delegation's presence underscored the NHIA's commitment to standing together as a family beyond the professional environment, in times of both joy and grief. The deceased's family expressed gratitude for the NHIA's support and prayers.
The late Alhaji Yakubu was a respected statesman, disciplinarian, and historian who lived a dignified and purposeful life. He served in various capacities in Yendi and Takoradi, retiring at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council. His contributions to nation-building, philanthropy, and devotion to Allah define his lasting legacy.
