Kumasi: Ghana's number one urban and youth radio station, Y102.5FM-Kumasi, has officially confirmed the return of the Ankaase Lakeside Party, with award-winning rapper Kweku Smoke headlining the 2026 edition. Scheduled for Easter Monday, April 6, 2026, the annual lakeside event will transform Ankaase, located on the shores of Lake Bosomtwe, into the ultimate party destination in the Ashanti Region.
According to Ghana Web, the Ankaase Lakeside Party, now in its seventh year, has established itself as a prominent event in the Ashanti Region, regularly featuring some of the biggest names in Ghanaian music. Previous editions have seen performances by artists such as Fameye, Strongman, S3fa, Eno Barony, Yaa Pono, Kweku Flick, and Yaw Tog.
'Our listeners have spoken, and we've heard them loud and clear. The main artiste on the bill for the 2026 Ankaase Lakeside Party is Kweku Smoke,' stated Ernest Opoku, Events Lead for Y102.5FM-Kumasi. Known for his high-energy performances and street anthems, Kweku Smoke is expected to deliver a show that will energize the lakeside atmosphere.
YFM Kumasi is partnering with Adehy? Buses to provide shuttle services for those who prefer an organised ride to the venue. Partygoers who wish to drive can make their own arrangements. Tickets for the event are priced at GHS100, offering value for an Easter experience.
Vendors and brands interested in participating are encouraged to secure their slots by calling 0243412432 or 0556674153. Ernest also expressed appreciation to the District Chief Executive for Bosome Freho, Charles Appiah-Kubi, and the District Coordinating Director, Michael Agyei (Esq), for their support and shared vision for the area.
According to the team, engagements with district leadership have been refreshing. Ernest noted, 'They are visionary leaders who understand what we want to achieve with this event. From the conversations we've had, it's clear that in the next two to three years, Ankaase is poised to become one of the top tourism destinations in the country.'
