Accra: TikTok personality, popularly known as Lopez, has shared new details on the controversy surrounding her date with the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah, who got married recently. She alleged that the Old Tafo MP ‘ghosted’ her after the date.
According to Ghana Web, in a viral video posted on X by askghmedia on March 12, 2026, Lopez disclosed that Assafuah had unsent all the messages exchanged between them during their conversation. “If Vincent claims he doesn’t know me and has never spoken to me, that’s fine,” she stated.
Lopez also stated that she has received countless calls from unknown numbers after coming forward with her disclosure. “I checked Instagram and saw that he had unsent all the messages he sent during our conversation. I also woke up to dozens of calls from unknown numbers. I’ve never seen my call log flooded like this before,” she said.
She expressed concern for her safety, saying, “At this point, I’m beginning to fear for my life. Let’s resolve this issue. I don’t want to sleep and not wake up the following day, whether from harm or suicide. I’m a happy person, and I don’t want anyone to hurt me because of this situation.”
Lopez clarified that she does not believe the MP will harm her, but she worries about the actions of his supporters. “I’m not saying the MP will harm me, but he’s well-liked; perhaps some of his fans might do something out of hatred. So, please, let’s put an end to this matter. I urge all bloggers to refrain from insulting him. I’m not prepared to go up against a politician; my life is far more important to me than anything else. So, let this matter slide,” she said.
