Adaklu: Mr Governs Kwame Agbodza, the Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Adaklu, on Monday presented food items to the Muslim community in the Adaklu District. The items, which included bags of rice, sugar, Lipton teabags, and Nido milk powder, were distributed as part of an annual support initiative.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Jerry Yao Ameko, the Adaklu District Chief Executive, presented the items on behalf of the Minister. He emphasized that the donation is part of Mr Agbodza's regular support to Muslims in the district during Ramadan. Mr Ameko remarked that the fasting observed by Muslims during Ramadan not only serves their spiritual growth but also represents a period during which they dedicate prayers for the well-being of Ghana.
Mr Ameko urged Muslims and other religious groups to keep the nation and its leadership in their prayers and called for unity to advance the nation's development and ensure peace within their communities. On behalf of President John Mahama, Mr Agbodza, and the people of Adaklu, he extended wishes for a successful Ramadan, expressing hope that the fasting would leave the community stronger and more prepared for nation-building efforts.
Alhaji Kasim, a respected figure within the Muslim community, received the items on behalf of the community. He expressed gratitude to Mr Agbodza for his generosity and assured that the items would be distributed fairly among all Muslims in the district.
