Kumasi: At least fifteen people have been killed following a head-on collision between a Ford Transit bus and an ambulance on the Kumasi-Sunyani road. The tragic incident involved a Ford Transit, with registration number GT 5676-19, traveling from Kumasi to Drobo. The bus reportedly collided with an ambulance that was transporting a pregnant woman from Brobo to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency medical care.
According to Ghana Web, all 15 passengers aboard the Ford Transit died at the scene. The authorities have not yet confirmed the condition of the pregnant woman and other occupants of the ambulance involved in the crash.
The bodies of the deceased have been transported to the Mankranso Hospital morgue as investigations into the cause of the accident continue.
