Accra: No Ghanaian Gospel song released in 2025 comes close to 'Aha Ye' by Diana Hamilton, according to entertainment analyst Arnold Asamoah Baidoo. Speaking on Hitz Praise Zone on Hitz FM on March 1, 2026, Arnold acknowledged that other Gospel musicians also delivered notable songs during the year.
According to Ghana Web, Arnold praised the push and coordinated efforts behind some of those projects but maintained that 'Aha Ye' stands apart from the rest. He highlighted that while Piesie had one of the biggest songs of the year, the exceptional work and PR machinery behind it couldn't surpass the impact of 'Aha Ye' in the Gospel fraternity. Arnold extended commendations to Piesie, her husband, and her team for their efforts.
Arnold Asamoah Baidoo also emphasised that Gospel music is driven by a higher calling rather than awards or chart rankings. He stated that the ultimate goal in the Gospel fraternity transcends accolades, focusing instead on spiritual fulfillment. He pointed out the rich spiritual intensity of 'Aha Ye', particularly due to the contribution of veteran Gospel musician Elder Mireku, whose calm and measured input adds a deeper anointing to the song's impact.
Furthermore, Arnold commended the South African-inspired production of the song, describing it as moving and spiritually uplifting. He noted the chills induced by the South African beat, arguing that no other Gospel song could match the spiritual resonance of 'Aha Ye'.
