Accra: President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku has complained about the level and standard of coaching in the country.
According to Ghana Web, Kurt Okraku highlighted that Ghanaian football has been grappling with persistent concerns regarding the steady decline in coaching standards, which he finds troubling.
Speaking at the CAF License A coaching course held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, Okraku emphasized that refereeing and coaching are critical focus areas in need of urgent reforms to enhance standards.
He expressed dissatisfaction, stating, "These two key need areas are refereeing and coaching. I have never, never, never been happy with coaching, and I have not stopped talking about this." Okraku reiterated his point by saying, "When I say coaching standards in Ghana have been poor, I really mean it."
The CAF License A programme is part of the Ghana Football Association's broader initiative to improve technical and coaching standards across Ghanaian football.
