Fearless Fund Launches Ghana Microfinance Fund, Offers GHS100,000 Pitch Prize and Loans

Accra: Fearless Fund has announced a pitch competition for women entrepreneurs operating in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, as part of the official launch activities for the Fearless Microfinance Fund in Ghana. This initiative is set to provide one standout founder the opportunity to secure GHS 100,000 in growth capital, along with loans up to GHS30,000 for successful applicants.

According to Ghana News Agency, the pitch competition is part of Fearless Fund's broader expansion into Africa, reflecting the firm's commitment to creating practical, accessible pathways for women entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and build long-term wealth. The competition targets businesses involved in trading, production, packaging, distribution, and retail sectors, which play a critical role in everyday commerce but remain significantly underfunded despite their economic importance.

The Fearless Microfinance Fund will also provide microfinance loans ranging from GHS10,000 to GHS30,000 to women entrepreneurs in Ghana. These loans aim to offer catalytic capital to support business expansion, inventory growth, improved distribution, and market access. Investors are invited to participate in the enterprise, as it presents an opportunity for social-impact-focused investors to partake in inclusive economic growth, with a guaranteed 10% annual rate of return through the fund, aligning financial performance with measurable social impact.

Fearless Fund emphasized that the pitch competition is more than a single funding opportunity; it forms part of a broader strategy to highlight women entrepreneurs who are ready to scale and to support the next generation of African wealth creators. HM Queen Wa Arian Simone, CEO and Founding Partner of Fearless Fund, noted that women across Africa are building resilient, high-impact businesses, yet they continue to receive only a fraction of the capital needed to grow. The pitch competition aims to provide visibility, access, and possibility, ensuring women entrepreneurs have the opportunity to compete, scale, and lead.
