Businesses Surge Ahead of Valentine’s Day Celebrations in Keta

Keta: Some businesses, including boutiques in the Keta municipality of the Volta Region, have expressed a surge in sales as Valentine's Day approaches, with retailers and service providers optimistic about increased revenue.

According to Ghana Web, local entrepreneurs have been stocking up on Valentine-themed products, including red dresses, chocolates, and greeting cards, to meet the growing demand. Madam Regina Deladem Ametsime, a boutique attendant in Keta, mentioned that various activities, such as a premium Valentine's weekend getaway, are expected to be unveiled in Keta to offer couples, friends, and solo explorers an unforgettable experience.

Madam Ametsime noted that many restaurants and hospitality businesses anticipate a significant boost in sales, offering special packages to promote the celebration. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are leveraging the Valentine's Day celebrations to increase their earnings, with some offering discounts and special deals for the day.

She also highlighted that graphic designers, bakers, and photographers are benefiting from the increased demand for Valentine's Day services, while many businesses have staged their products in strategic locations to attract the public's attention. The presence of recreational zones in Keta is seen as an advantage, potentially attracting numerous visitors and citizens to prioritize the communities for a memorable celebration.

Madam Ametsime explained that the Keta Lagoon, a major tourist attraction in the region, is expected to draw visitors and boost local businesses. Local artisans will showcase and sell their products, including traditional crafts and clothing, to capitalize on the festive atmosphere.

Donald Atisey, another resident and business owner, expressed optimism about the economic benefits of Valentine's Day, with increased sales and revenue. He advised consumers to take advantage of special deals and promotions offered by businesses.

As Valentine's Day approaches, businesses in Keta are gearing up to provide an unforgettable experience for couples and individual lovers alike. The GNA also gathered that some event grounds, hotels, restaurants, and guest houses are prepared to host various entertainment shows during the celebration on Saturday, February 14.
