Oxygen City Residents Unite for Monthly Sanitation Drive

According to ghana news agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, the Ho Municipal Assembly, led by Mr. Stephen Adom, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), mobilized residents, youth groups, and traders for the monthly exercise to promote hygiene and environmental responsibility in the Municipality.

Participants cleaned major streets and public spaces, using brooms, shovels, and gloves to clear refuse and desilt drains to improve sanitary conditions. Mr. Adom joined the exercise and urged residents to sustain the initiative, noting that keeping Oxygen City clean was a shared responsibility and that regular clean-up activities were essential for a healthy environment.

Some residents described the exercise as a unifying activity that reinforced the importance of protecting the environment. Traders in the central business area also participated by sweeping in front of their shops and bagging refuse for disposal by waste management teams.

Environmental officers used the opportunity to educate the public on proper waste management and the dangers of indiscriminate disposal. The Assembly commended participants and encouraged more residents to support future clean-up exercises to help maintain Oxygen City as a cleaner and healthier municipality.
