Nkwanta north: Mr Isaiah Kudjo Dordoe, the District Chief Executive of Nkwanta North in the Oti Region, has made an urgent appeal to the Minister of the Interior for the provision of a patrol vehicle to the District Police Command. This appeal aims to enhance the security operations within the district.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Dordoe highlighted the challenges faced by the police command due to the absence of a patrol vehicle. The lack of transportation has hindered the ability of the police to respond promptly to crime scenes, conduct patrols, and ensure public safety effectively. This has been a significant concern for the district, as it affects the police's capacity to combat crime, especially in remote areas.
The DCE also praised the police for their role in maintaining law and order during a recent nationwide sanitation exercise in the district. The event saw active participation from residents, Assembly Members, security service agencies, and the District Assembly staff. Mr Dordoe further acknowledged the community's efforts in the sanitation exercise, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness as a shared responsibility that enhances health and safety in the environment.
