Accra: Fast-rising Ghanaian musician Jubed has shared insights into the impactful advice he received from renowned rapper Sarkodie, which has significantly boosted his confidence in his musical journey and helped him disregard negative feedback.
According to Ghana Web, in an interview on MX24 TV on February 5, 2026, Jubed revealed that Sarkodie motivated him to trust his musical instincts and promote his work with conviction. He admitted that while he often feels proud of his creations during the recording process, he tends to lose confidence when faced with criticism after releasing his music.
Jubed recounted Sarkodie's advice: "Sarkodie said to me that whenever I'm recording, I know it's a masterpiece, and there are no people in the booth with me. My team and I are okay with it, so why is it that when I release it, and they bring negative comments, I feel like it's rubbish?" This guidance altered Jubed's outlook, encouraging him to maintain the same self-assurance he experiences in the studio even after the music is out for public consumption.
The musician emphasized that he now actively promotes his songs because it brings him happiness, regardless of external criticism. "When I see my posts, I'm happy because I love the music so I'm putting it out there. If I have to post five videos to make me happy or if I'm happy about my song, I will do it," he stated. He is unfazed by comments suggesting he is overpromoting, asserting that his love for his music drives his actions.
Jubed also hinted at a potential collaboration with Sarkodie, suggesting that fans can look forward to a joint project in the future. "Some people are also saying Sarkodie and I should do something together, but not to worry. It will surely happen because he and I are inevitable," he remarked.
