Accra: Bernard Mensah, a former affluent young man now plagued by a swollen stomach and apparent mental illness, has confessed to a startling decision regarding his late mother, Mary Ama Mensah's burial. Bernard claims he buried an unclaimed body in place of his mother's as part of his involvement with a secret society.
According to Ghana Web, Bernard's sister, Vivian Mensah, has been tirelessly seeking help for her brother, unaware of the possible connection between his current condition and his past actions. Bernard disclosed that his troubles began after joining a secret society to gain wealth, which required him to transfer his mother's blessings to himself. He was instructed to bring her personal items for a ritual, which he believed led to his initial prosperity.
Bernard alleged that after his mother's death, he was warned against burying her, as it would result in the loss of all his wealth. The society purportedly had influence at the mortuary where her body was kept and secretly swapped it with an unclaimed woman's body. An expert from Nigeria was allegedly involved, using a photograph of Bernard's mother to dress the unclaimed body for the burial.
Family members mourned the unclaimed body as though it were Mary Ama Mensah, while her actual body was never laid to rest. Bernard now suffers from severe consequences, including strange dreams, mental distress, and an unexplained swollen stomach. Vivian continues to seek spiritual and medical assistance for her brother.
Bernard's revelations were made during an appearance on Secret TV, a YouTube channel hosted by Pastor Prince Elisha Osei, which addresses domestic, spiritual, and social issues.
