Accra: The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced an adjustment in the prices of some of its services, according to a public notice issued by the Authority.
According to Ghana Web, the notice titled 'Notice of Price Increment' indicates that the adjustment will affect the cost of several services offered to the public. These services include first-time registration, personal information update, replacement service, nationality update, and non-citizen card registration.
The notice stated, "We wish to respectfully inform the general public that there will be an adjustment in the prices of the following services," followed by a list of the affected services. The authority emphasized that the price adjustments are essential for maintaining and improving the quality of services provided to the public.
"This adjustment is necessary to enable us maintain and improve the quality of services we provide," the notice elaborated. However, the NIA did not disclose the new prices in the announcement but appealed to the public for their understanding and support during the transition.
The notice concluded with an expression of gratitude: "We appreciate your understanding and continued support."
