Keta: Some residents in the hard-to-reach communities in Keta Municipality of the Volta Region have urged other constituents to retain Mr. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Member of Parliament (MP), for another term to drive more development. They highlighted his contributions in areas such as eye screening and surgeries, education initiatives, sports, infrastructure, and electrification projects, which have positively impacted the area.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Christopher Korku Sebohor, a resident of Lawoshime, expressed that two terms may not be sufficient for Mr. Gakpey to fulfill the projects he has initiated. He emphasized that Mr. Gakpey has effectively demonstrated his ability to secure development irrespective of party affiliation, having served under both NPP and NDC administrations. Mr. Sebohor noted Gakpey's reputation and connections, urging constituency and polling station executives to retain him for the continuation of progressive initiatives.
Mr. Mensah Keku, a resident of Hagodzi, stated that Mr. Gakpey's ongoing leadership is crucial for sustaining progress in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. He described Mr. Gakpey as a well-known individual in Parliament capable of securing sponsorship and assistance, appealing to voters to support his re-election for more impactful projects. Mr. Keku commended the commissioning of electrification projects in communities like Mamime, Hagodzi, and Lawoshime, emphasizing its strategic importance for accelerating development and improving residents' quality of life.
Other residents praised Mr. Gakpey for his innovative work, indicating that he has delivered on campaign promises. They appealed for additional infrastructure development, including road networks, and urged all constituents to support the MP, contributing ideas while avoiding unfounded criticism.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey also promised to help the constituency benefit from national assets to transform the area.
