Mamobi Disturbance: Police Restore Calm, Manhunt Underway for Perpetrators

ACCRA: Police have successfully restored order in Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, after a clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress led to the injury of nine individuals. According to Ghana News Agency, the fracas resulted in nine people sustaining injuries. Of those injured, seven have already been treated and discharged from the hospital, while two remain under medical care. The Police have launched an intelligence-led operation aimed at apprehending those responsible for the violence, to ensure they are brought to justice. The incident underscores ongoing tensions between political party supporters in the region. The Police have reinforced their presence in the area to prevent any further disturbances and to maintain peace.
