Speaking on the Point Blank segment of Eyewitness News on Citi FM, he described Prempeh as the ideal running mate for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. "He's a person with extensive experience and exposure, a goal-getter, results-oriented, and has a track record that proves he delivers when given responsibility. This is the person Dr Mahamudu Bawumia sought as a running mate to execute his vision. "Moreover, before forming a government, winning an election is crucial. Who can bring substantial political capital to balance him out and boost our numbers? NAPO is clearly the most experienced political figure not just in our party but in the country," he stated. The formal unveiling of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, as Dr Bawumia's running mate is scheduled for July 9, 2024, in Kumasi, a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party.
