Sefwi abrokofe: A 55-year-old man has been sentenced to five years imprisonment with hard labour for stabbing his sister in both eyes during a heated confrontation at Sefwi Abrokofe in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
According to Ghana Web, William Gyamfi, commonly known as Kwasi Manso, was convicted by the Sefwi Bodi Circuit Court for the attack on his 50-year-old sister, Akua Agyeiwaa. The incident occurred during a misunderstanding on January 17, 2026, as reported by 3news.com on June 25, 2026.
Evidence presented in court revealed that the dispute between the siblings turned violent when Gyamfi allegedly stabbed his sister, resulting in severe injuries that altered her life. Following the assault, Gyamfi was arrested and brought before the Sefwi Bodi District Court.
After a series of court proceedings, the presiding judge, James Mensah Donkor, found Gyamfi guilty and handed down a sentence of five years' imprisonment with hard labour. This ruling underscores the serious legal consequences of violent actions within the community.
