Medeama SC, fortunately, run away with maximum points on Sunday afternoon after surviving a late scare from Real Tamale United to secure a vital 1-0 win away from home.
The Yellow and Mauve outfit today visited the Tamale Sports Stadium to take on the matchday seven opponent of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
In a game that tested the strength of both teams, Medeama SC opened the scoring after 17 minutes into the first half when attacker Kofi Patrick Ansu equalized with a fine strike.
Although RTU will come in strong after going behind, the visitors held on for the most parts of the game with some fantastic defending and game management.
However, the team almost conceded late in added time of the second half when the host hit the crossbar in an attempt to equalize to force the match to end in a stalemate.
Having survived that scare, Medeama SC held on to cruise to a narrow win to secure the three maximum points at the end of what was a very good match between the two teams.
