COAYPG defends 1st Deputy Speaker on alleged statements made on a Kumasi based radio station

The Congress of Amansie Young Professionals Group (COAYPG) has issued a press statement signed by their 2nd Vice President, Ing. Kofi Baffour, calling Ghanaians both home and abroad to treat with contempt the malicious, ill-motivated statements blowing on social media and newsstands that is alleged to be coming from Honourable Joseph Osei Owusu who is the 1st deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for the Bekwai Municipality in the Ashanti region.

According to the group, the alleged statements put out by the media alleging is from Mr Joseph Osei Owusu appears to link Ghanaian graduates and schools to a syndrome of miseducation and certification without proper cause of action.

The group says that such statements and comments can seriously bring tension between Honourable Joseph Osei Owusu, academia and elite professional bodies in Ghana and abroad since certification is indispensable informal education and they think with the experience the honourable member of parliament has both in the academic and professional life, he will be the last person to utter such unguided statements and should be ignored by all.

The group also advise honourable Joseph Osei Owusu that the key to improving decorum with Ghanaians and the general media lies in reducing engagements when it comes to giving out statements whether in politics, social, economics or in an academic sense.

The Congress Amansie Young Professionals Group (COAYPG) is a group of professionals like teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, nurses, bankers etc and businessmen and women from Bekwai and her environs who have formed a united force to see to the development of the youth in Bekwai Ashanti and her neighbouring towns and villages.
